Finally, we finished unpacking the high-quality durian saplings from the large shipment we ordered from Salaman, Magelang, Central Java. This region is famous for producing some of the best durian seedlings in Indonesia. Among the varieties we received were Musang King, Bawor, Black Thorn (Ochee), Masmuar, Montong, D24, Kanyao, Namlung, Super Tembaga, Chanee, and others.
After neatly organizing the saplings, our next task was dismantling the wooden boards that had formed the packaging. This step was essential to make transporting the leftover materials to the nearby waste terminal much easier. Yarik and Naya enthusiastically joined in to help.
Once the work was done, Yarik lingered behind with his new electric screwdriver. The task wasn’t over for him—it was just getting started. With excitement, he began drilling, creating holes, and experimenting with the wooden boards from the dismantled package. Anything involving tools, mechanics, or hands-on work captivates Yarik’s attention.
He spent hours lost in his world of DIY projects, thoroughly enjoying himself while improving his skills. Watching him reminded us how fulfilling simple activities can be, especially when shared as a family. Life is truly beautiful when we pause to savor these moments, appreciate what we have, and find joy in the small things, don’t you agree?
