🥇Durianium—A family tale about cultivating durian. It follows Ivan, Lena, and their kids’ adventures, blending their curiosity and passion for tropical gardening
At last, we finished distributing and spreading sack after sack of vermicompost to every durian tree on Terrace 1. It was truly a labor-intensive task, requiring patience and effort to ensure that each tree received the nutrients it needed.
But our work isn’t over yet. Many more durian trees in our orchard still need their share of vermicompost. There’s more to do, but every step we take brings us closer to a thriving, fruitful harvest.

Today at Grandma’s orchard, Papa was hard at work digging holes to plant tangerine trees. He had already managed to dig two holes, but the soil was incredibly hard, making the process much more challenging.
Despite the difficulty, we still had three more holes to go. The goal was to finish all five by the end of the day so we could plant five young tangerine saplings in their new home. It was tough work, but knowing that these trees would one day bear juicy, sweet fruit made every effort worth it.

Today at Yarik, Naya, and Eva’s grandma’s orchard, we dedicated our time to planting grapevines. Papa took charge of digging the necessary holes, ensuring each would provide a solid foundation for the young vines. Once the holes were ready, we enriched them with vermicompost to boost the soil’s nutrient content.
Since grapevines are highly susceptible to fungal infections, we also applied fungicide to the holes before planting. This preventive measure helps protect the roots from potential fungal threats, ensuring the plants get the best possible start.
Yarik eagerly assisted by carrying the young grapevines in planter bags. Each sapling had already grown about a meter tall, making it ready for transplantation into open soil. We carefully removed the saplings from their bags and placed them into the prepared holes.
Once planted, the final step was watering. We filled a bucket with water, adding vitamin B-1 to strengthen the roots and help the plants adapt to their new environment. This special mixture also reduces transplant stress, promoting faster and healthier growth. After evenly watering the newly planted grapevine, the process was complete—one more step toward a thriving vineyard.
