#Durianium—Giving roots the space to breathe

Today at Grandma’s orchard, Papa focused on digging and moving soil away from the base of a Monthong durian tree. Previously, we had piled up soil around its roots to create a protective mound. However, upon closer inspection, we realized that too much soil had accumulated, burying the lower trunk deeper than necessary.

To ensure the tree’s healthy growth, we needed to free the lower trunk by carefully removing the excess soil and relocating it elsewhere. This way, the tree's base can breathe properly, and its growth won’t be hindered.

Hopefully, with this adjustment, our Monthong durian tree will continue to thrive and grow stronger. Every small effort we put into our orchard today is an investment in the trees’ future!
