Today at Grandma’s orchard, Papa made the thoughtful decision to prune the top branches of the red longan tree. Just beneath it, a young grapevine was trying its best to grow—but it needed sunlight, and the longan’s thick canopy had been blocking the light.
Besides, the red longan hadn’t been producing much fruit lately. It was time for a trim.
As Papa worked, Yarik, always eager to lend a hand when something mechanical or hands-on was involved, jumped in to help. His eyes lit up the moment he saw the pruning tools in action. Without hesitation, he stood by Papa’s side, and together, they carefully trimmed the upper branches—making room for sunlight to reach the grapevine below.
It was more than just gardening; it was a beautiful act of collaboration between father and son. One cut at a time, they reshaped the little patch of orchard, clearing the way for more growth and a brighter future.
Thank you, Yarik, for your energy and your heart.
