#Durianium—Dancing with weeds, growing with love

At Grandma’s orchard today, Papa set out to shave, trim, and clear the persistent weeds and tall grass using the grass cutter. Even though it’s the dry season, weeds and grass still thrive, especially under the durian trees where we regularly water and fertilize the soil.

Of course, these unwelcome plants had to be cleared to keep the orchard healthy and neat.

Watching Papa work, Yarik suddenly expressed a desire to join. With a gleam of excitement in his eyes, he picked up a smaller tool and began shaving down the weeds alongside Papa. What started as simple maintenance turned into a beautiful dance—a rhythmic duet of father and son, moving side by side through the orchard like partners in a choreographed performance.

The joy of shared effort and the bond formed in moments like these make the hard work feel light. The orchard wasn’t just cleaned that day—it was filled with laughter, unity, and love.

Because at the heart of every thriving durian tree
 is a family growing together.

#Durianium—Sharpening the axe with a grinder

A few days ago at Grandma’s orchard, Yarik helped Mama and Papa chop down and clear away the stubborn old roots that were no longer needed. He swung the axe with determination, breaking a sweat under the sun, fully focused on the task.

Today, Yarik and Papa took that same axe and sharpened it with a power grinder. As sparks flew from the spinning wheel, the dull blade began to gleam again—ready for more work in the durian orchard.

It might seem like a small moment, but sharpening tools is part of a bigger story: it's about being prepared, respecting the tools that serve us, and always striving to do better. Just like we care for the soil and the trees, we care for the tools that help us grow.

Every step matters—whether it's cutting roots or refining the blade.

#Durianium—Rebuilding roots for a sweeter tomorrow

At Grandma’s orchard today, Papa was hard at work removing poor-quality soil from around the base of an old Montong durian tree stump. The goal was clear: to replace it with nutrient-rich soil that could support healthier and faster growth.

Surprisingly, a small shoot had already begun to sprout from the stump—our hopeful sign. That little green bud will one day become the new crown of the Montong durian tree.

It may seem like a simple act of gardening, but what we’re doing is more than just soil replacement. We’re giving this tree a second chance, transforming a neglected base into fertile ground for future harvests.

As we watched the old roots meet new soil, we were reminded that with care and intention, even what seems forgotten can thrive again.
